This is a 46 gallon Oceanic bow front with stand and canopy. Running this freshwater tank are 2 Emperor 280’s hanging filters, each capable of cycling 280 gph (gallons per hour). Heating is supplied by a Visi-Therm 100 watt submersible. Under gravel airline duplicates a sporadic “ground breathing” effect while adding additional oxygen for plants and fish. The 50/50 65w light finishes the tank nicely, catching all blues on the fish and providing healthy light needed for proper nutrition. This tank includes Cobalt Discuss, Golden Angle, Gouramis, Silver Dollars, Pleco, Blue Lobster, and Festivum.

This is a 125 gallon tank made by All Glass Aquarium with stand and glass top. Filtering a tank of this size was made easy by use of a Magnum 350 Deluxe Pro system canister filter. Aragonite gravel provides a natural habitat for African Cichlids and helps maintain proper calcium levels. The submersible heater is an Ebo-Jager automatic 250 watt. The rock sculpture is a multi-piece resin rock that interlocks to give that “1 piece” look. This provides a lot of hiding space which is essential for cichlids. Fish in this tank include OB Peacocks, Yellow Labs, Jewel, Hap Moorii, Leporinus, and many more. Cichlid salt is used to create the very best comfort reducing outbreak of stress induced diseases. |

Left is a 20 gallon (L) Nano Reef salt tank. Because of the limited size, we found that using a Skilter 250 (a filter and protein skimmer in 1 single unit) would work best and provide enough power to do both jobs. Because of the live corals and anemone, power compacts were needed. We chose a 30” Orbit 4x65 fan cooled 24 hour lighting system to be the best bang for the buck.

Live animals include Percula Clowns, Royal Gramma Basslet, Scarlet Cleaner Shrimp, Spotted Cardinal, and Turbo Snails. Several live corals include Haitian Reef Anemone, Green Polyps, Red Colony Polyps, Green Starburst, Pumping Xenia, Kenya tree, and much more! Live rock is of the Fiji and Tonga variety.

Last but hopefully not least is a breeder tank. Less appealing to the eye, this tank serves its purpose. When conditions in a tank are text-book, the miracle of life takes place! This is where the hobby goes to an entirely new level! Below are some pictures of the “little ones”.
